Let the sum of the series be S such that

S=SUM{[(-1)^(n+1)]n(0.6)^(n-1)}/2

.....n=1

Consider

.......inf.

S=SUM{[(-1)^(n+1)]nx^(n-1)}/2

.....n=1

=>

S=(d/dx){x-x^2+x^3-......}/2

=>

S=(1/2)(d/dx){x/(1+x)}, for |x|<1

=>

S=1/[2(1+x)^2]

Let x=0.6, then

S=1/[2(1.6)^2]

=>

S=25/128

S - S * (3/5) = (3/5)^0 * 1 + (3/5)^1 * 2 - (3/5)^1 * 1 + (3/5)^2 * 3 - (3/5)^2 * 2 + ....
