Does the stroke wake up the patient if it occurs during the sleep?

It likely to wake up a person only when the stroke causes a very sharp headache, which typically does not occur in most stroke victims.

Not always. Depends on a lot of variable. Many people die from a sudden massive stroke. Many spouses wake up to hear their loved one agonal breathing and call 911.

No. In fact you might never wake up.
