Is it true white southerners used to vote Democrat in the olden days?

    Yes.

    At the time the Republican party was the "liberal" party (they were new, the Democrats had been around forever)

    and in its early years (until the Amendment was passed) one of the major planks in the Republican platform was nationwide abolition of slavery.

      No, not nonsense, not revisionist. There were a few more fairly important details involved, but what he states is about right. Additionally, up until the mid 1960s-1970s,  there were liberal and conservative wings of both parties.

    Yes.  There use to be a lot of Christian democrats that did not promote abortion or homosexuality or socialism/communism.

    Yes, before Truman desegregated the Army and LBJ supported the Civik Rights movement and started punishing lynch mob members ahd organizers. Then they switched ti Nixon and the GOP.

    yes.   republicans (lincoln and his people formed the republican party).   republicans removed slavery, gave equal rights to women and minorities and other civil rights agendas.  democrats always opposed those.

    the african americans and other minority groups up until the 80s if im not mistaken voted republican.    pro war and pro status-quo voted democrat.

    the shift was mainly due to republican change of policies.

    In 1822 they didn't exist.

    Yes, for about 100 years they didn't forgive the Republican party for Lincoln freeing the slaves.

    Yes. It lasted until 1964, when LBJ signed the Civil Rights Act. The Solid South bolted en masse to the Republican Party.
