Can a surgical suture needle damage a nerve or nerve ending?

I need a penile frenuloplasty after which the surgeon will put stitches(sutures) right on the head of penis, which is highly innerved area. Will the point of the needle damage even one nerve?

After a frenuloplasty the doctor will put stitches in your foreskin, not the head (glans) of your penis.

You need not worry about nerve damage as the relevant nerves are situated deeper than the stitches go.

Why a frenuloplasty when a circumcision is so much better?

Robby, there are many frenuloplasty videos on youtube and the surgeons always put stitches right on the glans, not in their foreskin.

You and your doctor have decided you need this. The ONLY thing I can say is to get this done by a urologist, not by a "family" doctor.  If you've got doubts, see another doctor for a 2nd opinion.  You've read too much anti-circ crap about "nerve endings."   They talk about "20,000" nerve endings, but that's fictional number. (no one knows).  Even if that's true and a couple are damaged, you'd have 19,998 left.
