100 years ago...people didnt live as long....cancer tends to have a higher frequency of mortality among the old.

Also, I bet they simply didnt even know the cause of death in millions of cases prior to your timeframe here.

More chemicals and pollution, plus people are living longer, which gives them more opportunity to get cancer.

Air pollution, water pollution, junk food, improper diet, chemicals in our system, etc.

Mainly because they are fewer deaths from other things. If you live long enough, you'll probably get cancer eventually. That's always been true. But cancer used to be less common because almost everyone died from something else first. Now, they live long enough to get cancer.

TechnoIogy, chemicaIs, etc. Everyone says that a IittIe bit of this and that isn't going to hurt you, but here's the catch - they say that about every single little thing that you experience and use on a daily basis. CeII phone and sateIIite signaIs are constantIy going through you, foods are aII fuII of pesticides and other chemicals, people use microwaves everyday, all electronic devices give off radiation, those x-rays every time you go to the dentist, airpIanes not onIy give off radiation but aIso scatter it down from the sky, plastic is a major endocrine disruptor but something we take in everyday, etc. WhiIe we were aII judging and poking fun at peopIe Iike the Amish, it wiII soon come to Iight that they had the right idea.
