    You spelled it wrong. It means to say good-bye forever probably and the way it is written is to bid "adieu." "Adieu" means "to God": à Dieu.

    First of all, it is bid you adieu. It is a French way of saying good bye. Dieu is the French word for God, so someone who bids you adieu is commending you to the care and protection of God. Just as good bye in English is a contraction for God be with you.

     “I bid you adieu ” is equivalent to saying goodbye. Adieu is French for goodbye.
