Should I buy a new non-apple lap top?

I have a very good Macintosh

But there is one problem which is that I got the cheaper version

And my lap top does not play CD's

Also a guy told me Macintosh computers can only play Macintosh CD's

So I'm thinking of buying a non-Mac computer

And having 2 computers in the home

Is this a good idea?

I spent $450 on a rosetta stone 8 years ago

And never used it because I did not have a regular lap top in my home

It's good to have a Windows computer around in case one needs it, but I was irritated when I tried to install PowerDVD on one and kept getting error messages when I tried to use it.

It seems reasonable, though, that a laptop is more likely to be able to play Blu-ray movies if it comes with a Blu-ray drive already installed.

You got bad information.  There is no such thing as "only play Macintosh CD's".

With no information why your laptop does not play CDs, cannot help.  Perhaps the "CD" is a video on a DVD that is restricted by region of the world or by content, or is a Blu-ray type?

    1. A USB CD drive can be purchased for as little as $20.

    2. The guy that told you that is a phucking idiot.
