How do soldiers go to war so fearlessly?

When you enter combat death is almost guaranteed.

You may belong the stronger army but even stronger armies lose soldiers and after your dead you woudnt know that your army won and you won't live to celebrate so you gain nothing.

    who told you that?

we do get scared, but we also trust our training and our fellow soldiers to keep us safe

That's what military training is for.

As Patton said, it is not your job to die for your country, it is to make the other SOB die for his. No one enters combat with the plan of dying. And death is not almost guaranteed. There are almost always far more survivors from each battle than dead.

    1. MILLIONS of combat veterans are IRREFUTABLE proof that isn't true.

Note: I said COMBAT veterans, not just veterans.

    2. Who said they lack fear? Courage IS NOT the absence of fear. It is OVERCOMING fear.

What your rant makes clear is the closest you have ever been to combat is playing Call of Duty.

So is it better to not go into the military and die in a car accident or get hit by a car crossing the street? Does that death mean more? Anyone can die at any time. To me it's better to die fighting for something.

Training. Confidence in your own and comrades abilities. Death isn't guaranteed. If it were none would return from battle.

Death is far from "guaranteed".  Statistically, a modern combatant of a military nation is more likely to return home alive than at any other point in history.
