What is the Christian explanation for why some children die of cancer? Is it because humans sin, therefore the children deserve it?

It is about Mt. 5:45

People sin, and others can suffer the results. We have polluted the air, water, ground. We spray and treat crops with poisons. It is no surprise innocent children pay the price for the actions of others.

Ecc_12:7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.
Luk 8:54 And he put them all out, and took her by the hand, and called, saying, Maid, arise. 55 And her spirit came again, and she arose straightway: and he commanded to give her meat.
Why is it so difficult for this generation to study and understand the Word of God? The Spirit that is in each of us, is IMMORTAL, it can't die or be killed. So just because the flesh of a child dies, does not mean the Spirit of that child ceases to exist.
What? All the Indians are doomed to Hell fire because they did not believe in Jesus, nor ever heard of Him? They are NOT doomed, and each of their spirits will be tested and have an opportunity to either accept Jesus Christ or reject Him.

My explanation would be that we live in a sinful world where, for example, megacorps make toxic chemicals and release them into the environment, damaging fetal DNA, and also that evolution is required for human beings to exist, and without cell constancy that means all metazoa are at risk of cancer. If we had cell constancy, we would be unable to recover from any wound. The slightest scratch would be with us forever and be at risk of infection.

It is what it is to be human. The existence of evil, pain, suffering, toil and death are all tools by which we can learn to love, and it is so we may learn to love that the physical reality exists. Without the existence of evil there could be no "good". Our experience of pain, suffering toil and death teach us compassion and sympathy for others experiencing the same thing. Compassion and sympathy teaches us to care about even those outside of our own social circle. Caring about everyone leads to true selfless love.
Your question stems from the belief that only the events of this world are important, but that is not the case. Our true nature is "in the image and likeness of God" as immortal SPIRITUAL beings... our souls. That is our true reality, the physical reality exists so that we can learn to love which is something we had to learn on our own. God could not create us already loving because love by its nature MUST be freely given. In our TRUE reality no one has every truly suffered; no one has ever truly died.
As Einstein said "Reality is an illusion, albeit a convincing one." Poe said "All that we see or seem is but a dream within a dream."

Everybody dies, some people die much sooner than others. It doesn't make it easy to accept, though, when it happens to a child.

Whoever thinks children die of cancer because of sin and who assume they deserve it, are delusional and very incorrect. There is no correlation between sin and illness, this is an invalid, vicious, ignorant, ugly thought.
Illness doesn't happen because of humanity's sin, humanity doesn't have a single sin sharing together, this is very absurd and whoever is ill doesn't mean they deserve it. NO. Also, children are pure and do not have sins.
Whoever believes a person's sin is inherited or passed on their children is very deluded and very wrong. Sins aren't burden upon someone else, sins aren't inherited and aren't someone else's responsibilities. Every human being has his own sins, his own problems, his own things to face and God alone to face, its between them and God alone, no one else.
Furthermore, I hate it when people assume that the reason people are facing trials and tribulations in life even with their health, must mean because of Prophet Adam's sin, peace & blessings be upon him, NO. This is very nauseatingly very very wrong and not true at all.
And God forgave His Prophet Adam many many years ago, and once again admitted His Prophet back into the paradise he came from once he left this world.
God deals with each person individually and their problems and it is God who is their caretaker, their Lord and He will do whatever He pleases, He will test them however He pleases and He is the One who takes care of their sins, the One who erases their sins in ways God does and who LOVES to erase sins. And I can prove it and may post it in the comments if I want.
Also, whoever sincerely asks for His forgiveness and every single night my Lord asks the same questions and I will post that interesting link for you in the comments, please watch it.
Children become ill and become healthy by the Will of God. Everything is in the Hands of God. Good health and illness comes from God and only happens by the Decree of God. God's infliction falls upon whomever God wills for and cannot be removed until God wills. For reasons only God knows and God knows what's best. And God tests His servants however He pleases.

Because this universe is a dump compared to Heaven:
God has an infinite number of Sons and these universes are their playground/Laboratory. They caused this messed up world from the start. With the Father's permission, they were attempting to build their own Heaven. God doesn't intend this world to be our home, but He does require our maximum effort while we are here. We are part of a bigger picture.
