My Dad has always been one to lie a lot but now he is forgetting things. At what point does forgetting because of age become actual dementia?

I can't tell if he is getting dementia or just forgetting a little more due to age or is just lying when he says something. He has always been arrogant and one to lie but it seems to be more then that now. He is aged 67. He is too arrogant to realize he has anything wrong with him but even though he has hurt me I still have love for him since he is my father.

How do I know when it is normal forgetting for a 67 year old or lying like usual versus actual Dementia?

Forgetfulness, lying, and mumbling are three main indicators of dementia.  Joe Biden is a good example of a senile person displaying these three symptoms.
