how can I record directly onto SD card on Sony Handicam FDR-AX33?

    it really depends on the type of SD card you are using.  not all SD cards are the same capability!!  if you want to record at the best resolution (100 mbps) then only an Ultra High Speed card will work, look for UHS-I u3 logo. if 50 mbps works for you, then you can use an SDXC class 10 card.  beware of Fake cards, the kind sold from Hong Kong or China on eBay, they only work at slower speeds.

    I don't understand the question - that camcorder records on sd cards.  If you're recording in  XAVC S it will only record to SD, but it looks like you can only load one type of medium at a time.
