What Oil weight does a 1977 Dodge Monaco take? 10w30 perhaps or a higher weight? it has the original 360 V8 with a 2 barrel carb.?

the car doesn't have the manual nor does it say it on the cap but I do not know what is in it now seeing I just bought it and the guy didn't know either lol.

Update:

I've already change the oil in it 2 days ago. And I went with that Valvoline VR1 racing oil with high zinc 10w30 They make that stuff specifically for older cars to protect the flat tappet cams. And all that jazz

If it's the original engine, don't go by the book, go by the miles and age, in yours I would use at least 10w40 or even 20w50, except in Alaska

Everything was 10W30 up to around 1990-ish. You can still use 5W30 in the winter months and 10W30 in the warmer months.

    10W-30.  Use a conventional oil.

I figured that might be it.
