My eight year-old wears slippers. Not outside the house of course. But a lot of people prefer that to the feeling of a cold floor in the mornings.

I'm an old school girl (I grew up in the 60s). We had slippers and robes. We wore our slippers during the winter - it gets rather cold in Ohio. Tell you friends, you like your slippers. They are comfortable and warm. Enough said.

Footwear of any persuasion comes down to personal choice. There are many people under 50 who wear slippers. If this works for you, go for it and enjoy the comfort.

If you want to wear soft, comfortable footwear, try moccasin slippers. They look enough like "real" shoes to be acceptable, even outdoors.

No, slippers are for those who actually don't want to get calluses or dirt on their feet. The floors can get pretty cold. Also, depending on what you wash your floor with, chemical residue is not good for your hands nor your feet, the skin is porous and when sweat pores open and take in what is on the floor.
Young people don't care about getting yucked up feet, lol. But if i'm going to use my hard earned money for a pedicure, I'm going to ruin it by getting, "house wife feet".

ANYBODY, ANY AGE can wear slippers. I used to buy slippers for my kids to wear when they were small.

Ok, I will take the perfect set up … "You are an old person".

Sure. They're for people with cold feet, age has nothing to do with it.
