Was my friend being racist..?

I told my friend(a black guy) I was attracted to this guy(who looks white) and he said he could use you, hurt you, etc., like many white guys do, and that he wouldn't like it if I dated him.  Then he argued more, saying men have hurt me in the past cuz I have been attracted to them, etc., and we argued a bit.  I'm not black myself, but am of another non white race, and my attraction to this white looking guy made my black friend angry. Was he being racist?

He's giving you a very open and common perspective of "white" men. Be careful.

Sounds to me like he is in love with you and wants you all to himself

Black men have a notorious reputation for being obsess with "non-black" women. They hate it when "non-black" women don't take interest in "black men."

I've seen black men literally become enraged at Mexican women for preferring THEIR OWN MEN to black men. It's like well if you're so proud to be black why dont you go date your own black people.

It seems to me he's more jealous than racist.

"he said he could use you, hurt you, etc."

As if non-white men don't do that...
