Circumference

= πd

= 3.14 × 8 yd

= 25.12 yd

Area

= π(d/2)²

= 3.14 × (8/2)² yd²

= 50.24 yd²

Area of a circle =3.14x4x4 = 50.24  square yards

Circumference od circle = 2x3.14x4 = 25.12 yards

1st solve for the radius of a circle given by the diameter.

r = d/2 = 8/2 = 4 yd

solving the area of the circle

A = πr^2

A = (3.14)(4)^2 = 50.24 yd^2 answer//

solving its circumference

C = πd

C = (3.14)(8) = 25.12 yds answer//

It's hard to believe someone can be this pathetic.

To find the circumference, you double the radius and multiply by pi.

To find the area, you square the radius and multiply by pi.

If only there were formulas for this this stuff. One day perhaps...
