Why is God such a poor communicator?
The Bible is interpreted differently by every Christian. Some say it should be taken metaphorically, others say it's to be taken literally. You meet 100 Christians and you come across 100 different christianities.

He isn't. When his words come to people they are generally easy to understand. Prophets, to save their lives, sometimes have to couch things in imagery.

Correction - If you consult 100 Protestant denominations, you will receive 100 different interpretations of the Bible, because Protestants have no authoritative source of biblical interpretation. Denominations are a direct violation of the clearly stated will of Jesus Christ concerning His followers, which was and still is "That they all may be ONE, even as I and My heavenly Father are ONE". He knew that truth can exist only in unity, because truth cannot conflict with truth, and conflicting denominations therefore necessarily mean false teaching. Meanwhile, the ONE Church He founded, to which He promised the fullness of God's truth, remains ONE in belief, ONE in teaching, ONE in worship, ONE in biblical understanding throughout the world after 2,000 years, with NO conflicting denominations, just He intended.

But did you know that over 8.5 million Christians will all tell you and teach you the same thing from the Bible? WHY would they do that? Because they believe they should follow this Biblical instruction - 1 Corinthians 1:10 - Now I urge you, brothers, through the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you should all speak in agreement and that there should be no divisions among you, but that you may be completely united in the same mind and in the same line of thought. - - - - There is a principle that all should understand about the truth. Truth cannot be contradictory, otherwise it could not possibly be the truth! With that in mind, consider what Jesus said about God's word - John 17:17 - Sanctify them by means of the truth; your word is truth. - - - - Thus, God's word of truth cannot be contradictory. That helps us to reason on WHY the Bible has even survived attempts to completely destroy it. Actually, God's word tells us that he wants everyone to have accurate knowledge - 1 Timothy 2:4 – whose (God’s) will is that all sorts of people should be saved and come to an accurate knowledge of truth. - - - - No doubt, that is why God has preserved his word all down through history. However, there are those that ARE misleading people, just as you bring out. And just as God's word makes clear - 2 Corinthians 11:13-15 – 13 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder, for Satan himself keeps disguising himself as an angel of light. 15 It is therefore nothing extraordinary if his ministers also keep disguising themselves as ministers of righteousness. But their end will be according to their works. - - - - And there are those that twist the Scriptures - 2 Peter 3:16. . . and these things the ignorant and unstable are twisting, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction. - - - - But God is an EXCELLENT COMMUNICATOR! He tells us exactly how to keep from being misled - Acts 17:11 . . . carefully examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so. - - - - Since the truth cannot be contradictory, we can examine God's word of truth carefully to make sure we are indeed getting accurate knowledge. THAT is how over 8.5 million people all over the earth, in over 1000 languages, are able to speak and teach in complete unity. So WHY don't people see all this work that is going on around the globe? Because Satan is BLINDING people - 2 Corinthians 4:4 - among whom the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, so that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through. - - - - Satan is misleading people and blinding people to the truth. He is keeping people so busy and distracted that they do not recognize that the fulfillment of Jesus' prophecy here is actually taking place all over the entire inhabited earth - Matthew 24:14 - And this good news of the Kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come. - - - - And some form of this good news is available in over 1000 languages online! And it is in complete unity. Evidence shows that we must also be getting close to the fulfillment of Jesus' words at the end of that prophecy, "then the end will come." The end of what? Of all wickedness - Proverbs 2:21 & 22 - 21 For only the upright will reside in the earth, And the blameless will remain in it. 22 As for the wicked, they will be cut off from the earth, And the treacherous will be torn away from it. - - - - Yes, these things are being taught all over the entire inhabited earth. In 240 lands around the globe. And in over 1000 languages. In view of the foregoing, I encourage all to examine the evidence. And to approach the Hearer of prayer - Psalm 65:2 - O Hearer of prayer, to you people of all sorts will come. - - - - Ask the Hearer of prayer to put you in touch with those preaching the good news. As mentioned you can find the good news online. But ALWAYS pray and examine the Scriptures carefully to make sure you are indeed getting the truth from our wonderful creator and communicator, God. You can find the good news on this site:

We refuse to listen to the one God sends.

Perhaps we are simply poor interpreters.

The bible was written hundreds of years after Christ died. Christians insist that the bible is perfect and the same for every version, and it was divinely inspired. However, those who study bibles know that there are profound differences. Perhaps many Christians have it wrong?

The problem of them is that they do not posses the real Holy Scripture written in Aramaic, the language of Jesus, so do not mind about the translation ones which all came from nowhere, that cause muddling up as you said.

Which is fine because God wants different things from different people and speaks to them individually to achieve that.

The Bible is really a collection of different books (it’s more like a library if you think about it that way). You wouldn’t go to the Poetry section of the library and get mad and say “why isn’t this stuff history?”. Some of the Bible is poetry, some of it is straight history, etc. depends on what part of the Bible you are in. The New Testament is very historical (literal). The Bible is a complex document written by many people over several hundreds of years (it has different styles)
