Is it possible for neural networks to attain human being kind of self awareness ?

    You (and certainly the technophiles who might read this) may not like this answer: NO!

    Regardless how much data a program can access, no matter how clever a programming scheme is implemented in a so-called "AI" device, it will NEVER have self-awareness in the way that humans do.

    This is not to say that a "ghost in the machine" couldn't give the appearance that a device has self-awareness, but such an illusion would still not be the device's self-awareness; it would be the spirit's
