Why am I not cramping on my period?

So, I’ve been getting my period consistently for the last 8 years, and with the exception of the first few times, I always have terrible cramps. I’ve worried before that I’m actually dying, or maybe my appendix has ruptured, they’re that severe. This is the first time ever that I’ve not had any cramps. I’m still bleeding, still have acne, and slight back pain, but no cramps. I feel fine abdominally. Yes, I’m sexually active, no, we do not use protection. Still, I’m bleeding, and it’s only slightly less than normal. Any ideas what’s up?
