    The 3rd number is the cube of the difference between the first two numbers, and the 2nd number is always larger than the 1st, so the missing number is 5.

    Rule is 3rd # = (2nd # - 1st #)^3.

    1 = (4-3)^3. 125 = (15-10)^3. 64 = (?-1)^3 = 4^3. Then ? = 5. 27 = (7-4)^3.

    It is 5 because (-1+5)^3 = 64
