# How to plot a graph with a set of axes ?

Question

Draw a set of axes with x and y from -4 to 4

(a) plot the graphs of y=2x-3 and y=2-1/2x

(b) Hence solve the simultaneous equations y=2x-3 and y=2-1/2x

The x and y intercepts of the 1st equation are at (1.5, 0) and (0, -3) respectively

The x and y intercepts of the 2nd equation are at (4, 0) and (0, 2) respectively

Both equations will intersect at (2, 1)

I don't see any line plots in your graphic.

what is "b" ?

Sorry about that I posted the wrong image,

B refers to the simultaneous equation made from both equation, I assume you need to make sure x and y are not the subject of both equations in other words find the value of x and y Also thanks for the help with question (a) - Login to reply the answers
