Does it sound like I was asking him out?

2 days ago I was chatting with my supervisor like crazy at work

Than I asked him if he wanted my personal contact information

He hesitated for around 20-40 seconds and then apologized and said no thanks

Would a girl give a guy her email if she was not interested in dating him?

I was asking him out right?

But he could get fired if he is caught Hanging out with me

Well it does sound like you were asking him out. I’m not sure why this is a question because only you and probably him would know if you were hitting on him or not. Depending the type of job you have yeah there’s probably rules about relationships and such.

He decided, rightly, that it wasn't professional of him to have a relationship (or a budding one) with someone he's supervising. It can cause all sorts of problems at work - accusations of favouritism etc from co-workers. He decided, rightly, that it would be more trouble than it's worth. You may find, now you have sort of 'declared' yourself, that these little, flirty chats will stop. He's realised what's been happening without him noticing and has pulled up his socks. I suggest you do the same and just get on with your work. That's what you get paid for.

Never a good idea to come on to your supervisor. Most places prohibit dating between a supervisor and a subordinate and for good reason. You've made the situation awkward. Keep your relationship with him strictly professional.
