How can i tell if a website is a scam or legit if i want to work online at home?

    The chances are very high that it is.  If they want money upfront, it's a scam.

    If it's a website that says you can work online from home, it's a scam. It's just that simple.

    If you have to send THEM any money to 'join', or for training or materials or for anything else, it's a scam. Even if you don't it might be a scam so check it out carefully. upwork.com and a very few others are legit.

    Asking for money up front.

    No reviews for the company or history of that company name.

    Those are the big ones.

    If it promises easy work from home for only hours a day for a lot of money it is a scam.

    To start with anyone that asks for money upfront is a certain scam.
