Why don't song writers these days write super depressing songs like "Seasons in the Sun" or "Alone Again Naturally" anymore?

    Because those types of songs do not sell anymore.

    There are songwriters these days who write super depressing songs, but there's no reason to write the same depressing songs that have already been written.

    they ran out of music. Can't you tell by the way it sounds now? It's nothing like it use to be. They ran out of music now it's just noise.
