why did Beethoven not Finnish the 10th symphony ?

    He tried to but tons of problems made him pass before he could even finish the sketches.

    He never heard his ninth symphony because he lost his hearing. I've never heard of him starting a tenth symphony. If he did, it was probably because he died before he got too far into it. Beethoven was known for re-writing his works many times before he was satisfied with a composition.

    pooped out, total deafness exhaustion from lead poisoning,ear infections,a good guess as any he got the flu in a weakened state

     died of COPD pneumonia

    Because when he reviewed his efforts, he thought the whole thing was just too Swede-sounding for his own taste.  So he abandoned the entire effort.
