Is the Coronavirus really as bad as people are making it out to be?

I don't really see why it's any worse than the Swine Flu or Ebola, when we had those two flu's businesses never shut down.

This is more dangerous and even if someone has it and recuperates they may have permanent lung or heart damage that will last a lifetime. This is airborne and can remain on surfaces for a long time. Touch a door knob and then touch your eyes, nose or mouth and you may be infected.

Don went around for months talking about how this whole thing was just made up by Democrats. Don doesn't know what he's talking about 99 pct of the time.  Though I believe he happens to be right on this.

Well, yeah... there is no vaccine or treatment for the coronavirus. If one gets infected with it, there's a 50/50 chance they'll recover, and even if they do recover, there's a chance they'll have lung or heart damage for the rest of their lives. If you get it, you likely won't get out of it in one piece.

Plus it's spreading rapidly before people could even prepare to avoid it.

So the coronavirus is dangerous as there is no vaccine, and it's spreading rapidly before we even have the time to prepare.

Swine Flu only killed 18,036 in 2009.

    Ebola killed 5,200.

A normal flu killed between 29,000 and 59,000 a year.

So if 59,000 people died from a flu in a year... that's mean 4,000 people died from a flu in a month.

So this Coronavirus has killed about 30,000 people in a few weeks.  And it isn't April yet.

The Coronavirus is only effecting older people or someone with a weakened immune system ( for example babies ). it's just like the flu symptoms so it's not bad as the other diseases.

    • Otherwise healthy, younger people are starting to die. Even if it affected only older people or immune-compromised, is that still OK?

@Don:  You confuse death rate of infected people with the total potential infections.  Trust the scientists, not Donald Trump or your uneducated guesses.

i really dont think so, and if you step back and look at where we are at its dem governors that want to lock everything down and run businesses into the ground .. most likely as a play to cause unrest and economic hardship to get at orange man .. they have NO scruples or consideration for the american public .. every one of those psychos should be rooted out ... and pelosi should be jailed for delaying relief to ALL americans and conspiring with her team of idiots to steal the money for their little communist plans .. what a piece of trash ..
