Are airlines set to become bankrupt?

    Some governments will be able to intervene and protect their airlines to some degree, but a lot of airline staff are going to be out of work.

    Here in Australia, a deal was done to give laid off airline staff priority in getting jobs to stock shelves at supermarkets, and the idea is that they will get their airline job back when (if) things return to normal.

    When that day comes, we will obviously need international airlines, and it makes sense that the people trained for those jobs will go back to those jobs. So Airline companies will have to shrink and scale down in order to survive this.

    Some will, some won't. We do not know yer which ones are doomed.

    I hope so. Air travel caused all of this.
