And spread from chemtrails, by nazi scientists working in a huge cavern at the South pole, smack in the middle of the flat earth.

Conspiracy theorists cannot accept that there is such a thing as randomness as they believe that there must be a cause and effect for everything. While the source and cause of Covid-19 is known it is just a random act that Covid-19, out of all the known viruses was able to become a global pandemic. Therefore these conspiracy theorists choose to believe that Covid-19 is a man-made virus.

You have to understand something about people who subscribe to the conspiracy theories: they think that they are smarter than they actually are. Therefore, if they don't understand something, in their mind it's not because of their own lack of intelligence but because of an act of some outside party, usually with nefarious intent. They then congratulate themselves for "seeing through the evildoers' plans" and feel that they are part of a select group who are "in" on some secret, and with the Internet they can spread their stupidity worldwide with just a click of a button.
Any argument or evidence that disproves their conspiracy theory, in their view, is part of the "evildoers' plot." This is why it's useless to argue with the hardcore conspiritards.
Covid-19 pandemic is a perfect breeding ground for all kinds of conspiracy theories. It takes a degree in microbiology to understand the genetic makeup of the Covid-19 virus, something that few people possess. The cospiritards, however, being conspiritards that they are, feel that they know better than the microbiologists.
