T or F: When plates are not suitable for microwave use, you don't buy them?

    I will buy them if I need them, I just won't put them in the microwave. That is what I have microwave-safe food storage for.

    No. I don't use any plates or crockery in my microwave--I use paper plates. It's safer and you don't have to worry about 'safe' plates that way.

    Well it's false. You don't have to put plates in the microwave. It still depends on many things.

    I don't.  I have plates that aren't microwavable: my china.  All of it has a platinum band around the outside edge that sparks when put in the microwave.  It's a pain.  Of course, the China was my mother's, a wedding gift from about 20 or 30 years before microwaves started becoming a standard kitchen appliance, so it's not like I can blame my mother or Wedgewood.
