Anything wrong with my cat?

I have a 12 year old cat that started acting weird couple months ago. He keeps meowing loudly and running around cause he's always hungry. I used to feed him 2 cans a day (1 in morning and 1 at night) and he was fine but now wants 4 cans a day cause he's always hungry. If I feed him too much he throws up, like an entire can of food. He also eats a lot of kibbles between the can feedings.

I thought it was diabetes at first but he hasn't lost any weight so I don't think it's that and doesn't pee much. Could it be hyperthyroidism? Can I feed him some special food that will make it go away?
