If you loose weight can you also loose belly fat at the same time? (If that makes sense) ?

    If a person is on a calorie deficit diet over several weeks or moths, their body will burn stored fat from wherever there is fat. The person cannot pick where the fat comes from.  Eventually, it is very likely that as a person loses weight they will use up some fat that is stored in the belly/abdomen.  

    When people start a diet, they often lose some weight that isn't fat (water and waste product).  After the first week, the person should be able to consider weight loss as fat loss.  If the person does absolutely no exercise, it is possible that some weight loss could be loss of muscle.
