Help with Stat?
Fact: the region under the standard normal curve that lies to the left of −1.42 has area 0.0778038.
Without consulting a table or a calculator giving areas under the standard normal curve, determine the area under the standard normal curve that lies to the right of 1.42.
Could you explain to me if possible how to solve this and what the answer should be

The area under the normal curve is symmetric. So the area under the curve from -∞ to -1.42 (the left of -1.42) is .0778038, then the area from 1.42 to ∞ (the right of 1.42) is also 0.0778038. This is of course assuming that -1.42 and 1.42 are symmetric about the mean.
