Are all flights coming from a foreign country to the U.S banned?

And if some aren't banned, shouldn't they be right now to contain the covid 19?

Update:

unless it's essential that they come

It's a little late. The virus is now more common in the U.S. than in foreign countries. At this point, banning flights FROM a foreign country TO the U.S would mostly contain the healthy. To contain the virus with a ban on flights, you would have to ban flights FROM the U.S. TO a foreign country, so that the virus is contained in the U.S.

The flight path for planes from Boston, NY, DC and Philly to Europe (and other way) go right over my house before turning over the Atlantic. The number of planes I see every day has shrunk by 90% or so. Containment is too late- it's everywhere.

you would have to ask the airlines there. most countries are still allowing foreign planes in but the passengers are usually placed in quarantine for 14 days.

Most countries have banned flights coming from the United States because of Covid 19.
