Two trains leave a station and travel along straight paths

that differ in direction by an angle of 81°.

If one train is going at a speed of 60 mph and the other is going at 80 mph,

far apart are they after 20 minutes?

20 miles and 26 2/3 miles away from the station.

Then they are 30.72856 miles apart.

You can calculate the distance of each train (draw a sketch).  You also know the starting angle.  Use the law of sines to find one of the other two angles and then use the law of sines again to find the distance between the train.
