I assume you mean:

12 - 8(4 - 2x) = 4(10x + 21) + 16

Expanding we get:

12 - 32 + 16x = 40x + 84 + 16

so, 16x - 20 = 40x + 100

i.e. 24x = -120

=> x = -5

What is the solution of the equation ?

12 - 8 (4 - 2x) = 4 (10x + 21) + 16

24x = -120

x = -5

What are the solutions of these two equations

12 - 8 (4 - 2x) = 4

(10x - 21) = 16

---------------------------

A: 12 - 8 (4 - 2x) = 4

12 – 32 + 16x = 4

16x = 24, s0 x = 3/2

B: (10x - 21) = 16

10x = 37

x = 3.7

12-8(4-2x)=4|+8(4-2x)

12=4+8(4-2x)

12=4+32-16x

12=36-16x|+16x

12+16x=36|-12

16x=24|/16

x=24/16

x=3/2
