A prison is designed to fulfill more than one function. True or false?
(1) To detain those who are serving life imprisonment
(2) To detain those who are on death row
Clearly and obviously, the purposes of 1 and 2 are different from each other.
Thus, the prison is specifically designed to fulfill more than one function.
Therefore, the prisoners in 1 and 2 are most likely segregated, but no distinction is made between one and the other insofar as they are both situated in the same jail.
Consequently, the people who are in the figurative lake of fire would either be subjected to everlasting torment in Revelation 20:10, or they would cease to exist altogether in Revelation 20:15.
Being in the lake of fire itself does not imply that everyone would experience the same outcome.

A person can battle prison injustices using the rosary and fasting. Further, it is good to have true devotion to St. Philomena, an early Christian virgin and child-martyr. She was imprisoned for 40 days under heavy chains for keeping her vow of virginity to Jesus in refusing to marry the emperor Diocletian.

So rehabilitation isn't even an option? Considering the fact that you are gonna be there for an eternity it certainly wouldn't be impossible to change. Why doesn't God put a system in place for those people in hell? If it's so controversial to jail someone for life without the chance of going on parole or to just execute them, why is ok for God to do it? I'd think a loving God would try to provide therapy treatments for these troubled individuals, not lock them up and throw away the key.
