Are North Americans working too hard?

I read that people who take vacations lasting longer than 3 weeks a year had a 37 percent lower change of dying than people who took vacations shorter than 3 weeks

In other civilized countries, workers get 6-8 weeks of paid vacation per year BY LAW. American workers get ZERO. Why is that? Should it be that way?

Americans are putting the Japanese to shame these days...and, no, that wasn't a compliment.

    Work, consume, sleep, repeat!

It's not outrageous for them to want to work. They don't take good vacations anyway. They go to Las Vegas and stuff themselves on cheap norovirus buffets.

    Many of them do ..

I used to work 60 hour weeks, play hockey several nights a week+ had a horrible roommate.

If not walking distance from work I wouldn't have survived, even then it was beyond a miracle.
