Did people cry when they saw the end of Terminator 2 in cinemas in 1991?

Yes. Because the robots did not win. Humanity is still a stain on this Earth.

I was not talking about the Arnie robot, he was programmed to save John Connor.

I am talking about Skynet and how they failed. Talk about a sad ending.

"Skynet was a victim of human stupidity by trying shut it down." Exactly, Skynet WAS the victim, and yet people think John Connor and humanity are the good guys in those films.

I seriously doubt it, terminator 2 was more laughable compared to the original far superior movie.

Laughable its considered the best action sci movie ever and best sequel of all time.

It was a sad ending that made it into the theaters. Not enough to cry for me, but I guess some would be affected.

I didn't cry. Nor did anyone I was with. I was a freshman in college and went with a bunch of my friends from the dorm. I don't remember anyone crying, although my friend Steve might've been upset that movie was over because he was so damn geeked about it enough to cry. He was really into CGI, studied it, and now works for ILM.
