Why are stores being so dumb when it comes to COVID?

IF you close 1 of the 2 entrances to the store, then you are just shutting people in closer together...you do realize this right? How does that help contain the virus?

Update:

no lines...no limit to how many people...just 1 door is closed...in texas  at every store

It contains the virus by making it harder for it to get out.

I think it allows the staff member at the door controlling numbers in store to not have to bother about who has gone out the other entrance.

In many places it is so they can control the number of people in the store at any one time

NO. Only a certain number are let IN. NOBODY else goes IN until somebody comes OUT. You get to WAIT your turn.

Stores in some locations are required to limit the total number of customers inside the store because of the "coronavirus" and "social distancing". It's easier to control the number of customers if they all have to enter the store through one entry point.
