Can i see my therapist and Psychiatrist without taking a medication ?

    Yes, you can, however you MUST UNDERSTAND THIS FACT:  Both medical and psychiatric illnesses can be chronic and life long and require medication to regulate and control the disease.

    EXAMPLE:  People who are diabetic, can go and see their doctors but if they refuse their insulin or the diet they must remain on, their disease will be out of control and eventually destroy their kidneys, eyesight and central nervous system as well as their circulatory system.  They will be in and out of hospitals their whole life...but this is if they REFUSE their medications. 

    So, too, people who have one of the Major Affective Disorders such as Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia or Major Depression are the same as the diabetic.  their condition is chronic and life long and they must remain on medication in order to function and stay out of the hospital.

    Yes, usually. Unless it's court ordered, no one can make you take medication.
