It would be simpler to replace all MP's with an App. Anyone can download the App, read the bills and vote on them to be passed into law or not. You can easily have 10,000 randomised people deciding on a subject which would be more democratic than a bunch of shills who will do as the party whip tells them to do or they loose their jobs.

If it wasn't corrupt, how can ALL theTory MP's vote for chlorinated chicken in the UK  - and ALL the opposition vote against it (apart from  Rishi Sunak who voted the "wrong" way - then 'phoned the chief whip to apologise.

As they were all voting from home electronically anyway - why are we paying these people?

    • Yes, exactly right.
You could give Voters an iPhone each and still be way under budget.
      When can we start...

Each of those "clowns" was chosen by their own electorate. We have the option to chose a new representative fairly often.

What the UK public are very poor at is accepting the advice of educated experts when it doesn't support the popular view. BREXIT would be a good example - if left to the MPs (experts in foreign diplomacy) the vote to leave Europe would never get passed the 1st reading. But the public, being more easily swayed by popular opinion, clearly decided otherwise

So, no the current crop of MPs are our own fault and we have to live with the decisions we make

It's not just UK, look at the leaders in US, or Brazil, Belarus, Turkey, it is a sign of the times.

Unfortunately, the government is a reflection of the populace. It is no good pointing fingers, one has to start with oneself.

The media are partly at fault, mostly for their sensationalism.

Proper statesmen are few and far between.

For the moment, we have to make do.

Those MP's were democratically voted in by the masses, mainly due to the promise of 'Get Brexit Done'.  Little did so many of these 'ex Labour' supporters think beyond Brexit.  Now our Country is being run by some blooody idiots who have now proved that they believe in 'Do what I say and not as I do' kind of Politics.  It's a case of 'watch this space' and see what more bonkers happenings come next!

If you had a brain, you would be dangerous.

If you knew how to use it, you would be lethal.

If you actually used it, it would be Armageddon .

    • I know, you've reiterated that point many times
