Do you think Boris is the target of the Cummings attack and it's mission accomplished?

Thee is so much vested by Boris in the lad Cummings that he can't sack him, so they had to get dirt on him to make Boris look bad.

It beggars belief that the justified criticism of Cummings' behaviour and Johnson's defence of it is portrayed in two answers here as some sort of Remainers' revenge when the rabidly pro-Brexit Daily Mail is firmly supportive of and involved in the criticisms and has exposed the inconsistencies in Cummings' account. And when pro-Brexit Tory MPs have joined the criticisms and Leave voters have also rejected Cummings' excuses in an opinion poll.

I don't think Johnson was the initial target of the attacks but he joined Cummings as a target when he fully supported Cummings implausible excuses. In doing so he ignored articles by Cummings and his wife about their lockdown experience in 'The Spectator' referred to by the 'Daily Mail' and other newspapers which firmly give the impression they stayed in London during the relevant period with no mention of their stay in Durham.

Now another fückwit has made the same disingenuous claim that it is some sort of Remainers' revenge despite Brexit supporters, Brexit-supporting MPs and Brexit-supporting newspapers making the criticisms of Cummings and Johnson.

I was a Boris supporter, but after the way in which he has defended Cummings not anymore. Cummings should go before he drags the government down with him.

Johnson is a target in the witch hunt for the same reason as Cummings. The defeat of the Remoaners in the media.
