Its NOT traveling faster than the "SPEED OF SOUND" that causes an object doing so to BURN UP.-----But AIR FRICTION when you go somewhat FASTER. Move fast enough to heat up to around 451 degrees F and you will be hot enough to BURN. Unrelated to sound speed, but air VISCOSITY and friction.----Its just that this speed is SOMEWHERE well beyond the speed of sound.

Things do not burn up when going faster than the speed of sound. There are aircraft which go 4 times the speed of sound.

You are very confused. The concorde or a phantom jet fighter do not burn up. Speeds that are hundreds of times greater than the speed of sound are required for that. Felix greater problem was the extreme cold at altitude not heat at all.

Breaking the sound barrier does not cause "burn up". You might be thinking of atmospheric re-entry.
