did the sr71 have a turbocharger to make it go so fast?

im thinking it had more than one turbo

    No.  It had highly modified engines.   The program director for the program was Kelly Johnson but the guy who lead the engine team was Ben Rich.   When Kelly left,  Ben became head of the Skunk Works and went on to be the program director for the F117.

    No. Its J58 engines functioned like a ramjet to propel the Blackbird to trisonic speeds.

    The turbocharger on a car is just a single stage compressor.

    Jet engines have multistage compressors.

    The SR71 has 2 turbo-ramjet engines.

    No, it had two Pratt and Whitney J58 axial-flow turbojet engines.

    SR-71 had turbojets.  Those are turbines, but no turbocharger.
