Our 'if it bleeds it leads' media and its market research that shows rage generates more clicks than does positive news. If the US had less for profit media we'd be less hateful of each other.

Many Americans dislike each other because they don't have a mind of their own. They just listen to what other say and pass it along. They don't educate themselves on politics, they just choose a side. Many don't learn the differences between the two main parties. I suggest more people educate themselves on politics and learn the differences between the two main parties. It is OK to agree or disagree with one aspect of a party, while agreeing or disagreeing with a different aspect of another party. More Americans should open up their minds to their own needs it's stead of being a follower. Americans are too divided today. It's no longer united we stand, it's divided we stand. There are so many false statements coming from both sides. It's certainly not the way good people should act. Of course, everyone is entitled to their own beliefs, after all, that's the beauty of democracy. But often when people stick to one side they shut out completely the opinions of others..in doing so missing out on learning new perspectives, therefore never being able to compromise!
