What mass of NaHCO3 would he need to ingest to neutralize this much HCl?

    moles of HCL = 0.081 M HCL x 0.100 L = 0.0081 moles

    From balanced equation moles of NaHCO3 required to neutalize are same as HCl, so

    moles of NaHCO3 = 0.0081 moles

    mass of NaHCO3 = moles  of NaHCO3 x molar mass of NaHCO3 

    mass of NaHCO3 = 0.0081 moles x 84.007 g/mol = 0.68 g
