Would it be bad to keep my fish tank light on at night?

I get up at night sometimes and I think it could work as a nightlight to see where your going. It’s not very bright and I turn it off during the day. Would that affect my fish?

A day and night cycle is very important to fish.

Buy a $5.00 night light and don't screw around with your aquarium lights.

Fish Do sleep even if they don't look close their eyes. Fish effectively Go Still when sleeping and they need a dark place to sleep.

Yes. fish need to sleep, and for that they need a dark room. Ambient daylight is not dark enough for them to sleep.
