When Prince Charles reigns over Canada, will support for the monarchy increase among his Canadian subjects?

Probably not.  Elizabeth has been a much loved monarch, and no-one could fill her shoes easily, no matter how good they were.  I suspect affection for the monarchy won't change much though.  It is something we don't really think about very often, except for when Royal visits happen, and then we go nuts!

Prince Charles is in his 70's and is too old to be Canada's king.  Never has a 70 year old become king of Canada.  Our younger Canadians would feel alienated.  The next monarch needs to be from a generation after Prince Charles, then Canadian monarchy support will increase.
