Two. There has never been a time when twenty people were there at once. You've been misinformed.

There have been a total of twelve people who have been on the moon. At no time was there more than 2 persons on the moon at the same time. Four of them are still living as of 1 May 2020. All crewed lunar landings took place between July 1969 and December 1972 as part of the Apollo program.
Here is a list of persons who have been on the moon.
Neil Armstrong 1969
Buzz Aldrin 1969
Charles (Pete) Conrad 1969
Alan Bean 1969
Alan Shepard 1971
Edgar Mitchell 1971
David Scott 1971
James Irwin 1971
John Young 1972
Charles Duke 1972
Gene Cernan 1972
Harrison Schmitt 1972
How many people have been on the moon at once? Two.

2 men at a time only. There have only been 12 men total on the moon, 2 at a time.

You should stop reading rubbish and develop a better bull**** detector. Of course there have only ever been 2 there at a time.

Six landings altogether where they went two at a time
So that leaves Two on the Moon at any time
Twelve altogetherSource(s): Weak in the Force is this one

2 at a time is the most. You don't have two neurons to rub together sparky

US has been only country to send anyone to the Moon. Apollo capsule held 3 astronauts, no more. The lander held 2 astronauts. There were 6 successful landings, one that did not try to land.
There were 2 other trips that held 3 men each, but landings were not intended.
The total: 12 men walked on Moon, but no more than 2 at once. 15 more went to the moon's region and circled it, returned to Earth.
That makes 27 total in 9 different trips.
Apollo 8--Borman, Lovell, Anders circled Moon ten times.
Apollo 10--Stafford, Young, Cernan descended to within 8 Km of surface.
Apollo 11--Armstrong, Collins, Aldrin, Armstrong and Aldrin landed.
Apollo 12--Conrad, Gordon, Bean, Conrad and Gordon landed.
Apollo 13--Lovell, Swigert and Heise, explosion canceled a landing, swung around moon once.
Apollo 14--Shepard, Roosa, Mitchell, Shepard and Mitchell landed.
Apollo 15--Scott, Werden and Irwin. Scott and Irwin landed.
Apollo 16--Young, Mattingly and Duke. Young and Duke landed.
Apollo 17--Cernan, Evans and Schmitt, Cernan and Schmitt landed.
Four missions were cancelled. Five other types of missions used Apollo space hardware.
I would like to see a picture of 20 people on the Moon at once. I have seen a picture of a cow without a space suit reflected in Armstrong's helmet window when he was on the Moon. Not sure if it was a Holstein or a Guernsey. Pretty sure that is a fake.
Update: I watched twice "2001 A Space Odyssey" in theaters. There was a scene where the actors in "space suits" were "on the moon" movie set. Not sure how many at once were there at same time. Pretty sure it was less than 20.

All Australians have because the moon used to be bigger and some of it fell off and landed on earth, that became Australia.

12 human male, in pairs per mission. That means 2 at any given time.
