A = 1/2(12)(12)sin(60 + 60)

A = 1/2(12)(12)sin(120)

A = 62.354 in^2

Maria. You need to show us your working. As area = 1/2 base * height you SHOULD be getting a surd in the answer. The height = 12 * sin(30) = 6 and the width =2 * 12 cos(30) = 2 * sqrt(3)/2 = sqrt(3).

the area is 1/2 base * height = 1/2 * 6 * sqrt(3) Then evaluate this.

Which formula? You need to find the length of the base and the height of the triangle.
