18 is the trigger unless you are born rich

if your parents pay for your living and college 22  -- since if you cannot finish in college in 4 years, there is no reason for parents/spouse to support a professional student

My neighbor inherited a trust fund and gets $8,003.00 deposited in to his account every month.  He has no job...he has never had a job.  He studied pottery in college. He now makes pottery in his garage and maybe sells 5 or 6 pieces a year at craft shows.  He is 53.  He has a wife and 2 kids.  His wife is a social worker.

So... you are never too old to not have a job.  It isn't advisable, though.

18+ in my opinion. If you are legally able to work, you should be working. Gotta make money while you work on your big plan.
